How do I occupy a workplace?

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

In FlexWhere, a workplace can be occupied in the following ways:

Once installed, FlexWhere for Desktop runs in the background. It automatically occupies the reserved workplace if your IP matches the approved list managed by the admin. If on an approved network, the app’s icon turns green, indicating your reserved space is automatically taken.

The location of the docking station is known. The connection is established automatically as soon as the device logs in via the company network.

The laptop’s name is known in FlexWhere. The user receives a pop-up while logging in. FlexWhere asks the user to indicate a workplace. The user can also indicate that work is being done externally.

Select a workplace, and press “occupy workplace”. Your workplace remains occupied until you manually release it. If you do not do this, the workplace will remain occupied for 9 hours.

A user can occupy only one workplace at a time. If a user wants to occupy a second spot, they will see a pop-up saying they’re already connected to it via a docking station or occupying manually via web or mobile. To occupy a different desk, the other one needs to be disconnected/released manually first.
